When it comes to genre-blending, it takes a special type of artist to bring two unique worlds together in a meaningful way. Enter one Traphouse Koda, a Virginia Beach, Virginia native who has come blazing on the scene in the past year with a flavor that’s like a mix of sweet tea and Hennessy. Effortlessly creating modern rap bangers with a helping of some country flare, Koda has found a way to keep his listeners pounding at the door for more. Growing up, he was exposed to the widely diverse demographic of Virginia Beach and the multitudes of music influence he could draw from. When you play one of his records, it definitely shows. Not many people can appeal to fans of Kenny Chesney and Future all in the set, and with each new project Koda is taking another step closer to perfecting the art of breaking that boundary. It shows in his numbers as well how much he’s catching fire. With hit singles like “Old Silverado” already hitting over 3+ million views, and amassing tens of thousands of listeners on Spotify it’s starting to show just how far this guy can push the ledger. He’s got a city behind him and now, having joined a roster that includes names like Savannah Dexter, FJ Outlaw and more over at Mako Music Group, he’s ready to keep it pushing to even further heights.
